2018 Victorian Afternoon Tea

This annual fundraising event, organized by Claire Nicklin & Anne Sharrock, was held at Vandemeer Nursery (Lakeridge Road and Bayly Street) in Ajax on Sunday, February 18. Lunch was offered for sale consisting of tasty sandwiches made by Erst and Janet Buchelor as well as cookies, deserts and scones provided by Adelle, Beth, Brenda, Claire and Kathy. A variety of teas were available as well as coffee (compliments of Starbucks located in the Ajax Durham Centre). There were many participants in the best Victorian Hat or Costume contest. Several vendors offered items for sale; the homemade bake sales were very popular and many people found interesting items to bid on at the Silent Auction. Vandermeer Nursery with its greenhouse roof provides a wonderful place for the Victorian Afternoon Tea.
